Terminus Calculator (terminuscalculator.io) is an independent, fan-made website. For any privacy question, email contact@terminuscalculator.io.

The Short Version

• There are no user accounts, sign-ups, comment forms or newsletters.
• The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The symbols you select and the codes it shows are never sent to a server.
• The Copy Code button writes the code to your clipboard on your device. The site never reads your clipboard.
• Fonts and images are hosted on this website, so loading a page does not contact third-party font services.
• Personal data is never sold or rented.

Information Collected Automatically

Server logs

The hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard web-server logs for every request: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs keep the website secure and running, and are retained according to the hosting provider's policy.

Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

Terminus Calculator uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, for example which parts of the calculator are hard to use on phones. Clarity records interactions such as clicks, taps, scrolling and page views, together with device, browser and approximate location information, and it can create anonymised session replays. Text you type into fields is masked. Clarity may set first-party cookies (such as _clck and _clsk) to connect page views within a visit. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Cookies

Terminus Calculator does not set its own cookies. The only cookies are the analytics cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculator keeps working without them.

Legal Basis for Processing

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (keeping the site secure and available). Analytics are processed on the basis of consent where the law requires it, and legitimate interest (improving the tool) elsewhere.

The hosting provider and Microsoft can process data in countries other than your own. These providers apply safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers out of the European Economic Area.

Terminus Calculator is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. The site does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, email the address above and it will be deleted.
